Returns & Cancellation Policy

1. Introduction

This Returns and Cancellation Policy explains your rights when ordering services from Yhjytz. Please read this policy carefully before placing an order.

2. Cooling Off Period

2.1 Your Right to Cancel

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of placing it, without giving any reason. This right applies to services where no work has commenced.

2.2 How to Cancel

To exercise your right to cancel, you must notify us in writing (by email or post) within the 14-day period. Please include your order details and the date of your request.

2.3 Refund Timeline

If you validly cancel your order, we will process any refund due within 14 days of receiving your cancellation notice. Refunds will be made using the same payment method you used for the original transaction.

3. Cancellation After Work Commences

3.1 Work in Progress

Once installation work has commenced, the cooling off period no longer applies to the services that have been provided. If you cancel after work has begun:

• You will be responsible for payment of work completed to date
• A reasonable amount for any materials used may be charged
• The remaining balance of your payment will be refunded

3.2 Cancellation Charges

Cancellation charges may apply based on when you cancel relative to the scheduled installation date:

• More than 48 hours before: Full refund of any deposit paid
• Less than 48 hours before: Deposit may be retained to cover administration and scheduling costs
• On the day of installation: Full day rate may be charged

4. Products (Boilers and Parts)

4.1 Boiler Units

Boilers are manufactured products and are supplied specifically for your installation. Once ordered from the manufacturer, boiler units cannot generally be returned unless they are defective.

4.2 Defective Products

If a boiler or component is found to be defective, we will arrange for its replacement under the manufacturer's warranty. Defective products should be reported as soon as reasonably practicable after discovery.

4.3 Returns Process

If you believe a product is defective:

• Contact us immediately with details of the defect
• Do not attempt to repair the product yourself
• We will arrange for inspection by the manufacturer or our engineer
• Replacement will be arranged if the product is confirmed defective

5. Refunds

5.1 Eligibility

Refunds are available in the following circumstances:

• Cancellation within the cooling off period (before work commences)
• Services not provided as agreed
• Defective products replaced under warranty
• Cancellation by Yhjytz due to circumstances beyond our control

5.2 Non-Refundable Items

The following are generally non-refundable:

• Work completed and accepted by you
• Boilers ordered specifically for your installation (unless defective)
• Custom or bespoke items
• Cancellation fees as outlined above

5.3 Refund Method

Refunds will be processed using the same payment method you used for the original transaction. Please allow 5-10 working days for the refund to appear in your account.

6. Our Right to Cancel

We may cancel your order in the following circumstances:

• If the services become unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control
• If your details cannot be verified
• If there is reasonable suspicion of fraudulent activity
• If you provide false or misleading information

In these cases, any payments made will be refunded in full.

7. Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights as a consumer. If you have concerns about the service you have received, please contact us first. If we cannot resolve your complaint, you may have the right to refer the matter to alternative dispute resolution.
